By: | February 26th, 2014

Forget cars with seats. The latest and greatest electric car comes from Kenguru and it’s built with wheelchair users in mind.

The car utilizes motorcycle-style handlebars and can be accessed by a wheelchair rolling right through the rear hatch of the vehicle. It is estimated that new the new product will cost upwards of $25,000 and is set to go into production in approximately a year to a year and a half.

The car itself is only 7 feet by 5 feet, which is even smaller than a smart car. However, the Kenguru wasn’t built to be a speedster, topping out at a mere 25 mph. The vehicle is built for convenience like running errands and has the potential to become very beneficial to wheelchair users in the near future.
