According to Futurist Gerd Leonhard, you are living in one of the most transformational times in earth’s history. That’s saying a lot as huge changes have happened over tens of thousands and millions of years. The watershed we are in is the digital revolution that has led to a technological change that is exponential. We are all feeling and experiencing the rapid change in our lives and societies, and many are worried about what may be to come.

It seems as though technology today, while it may have potential to create classes of haves and have-nots, has the potential to raise the standard of living and life potential of every human being. The differentiator as to who gets what in terms of material acquisitions, depends on entrepreneurship, education, and hard work. In this sense, the new age of transformational technology should be more of a meritocracy. There will always be fights against entrenched interests who don’t want to move forward. But we are all being pushed inexorably forward by creativity, innovation, and the need for high-tech solutions to complex problems.

One example of a technology that will change the world as we know it in the next few years is motion interfaces that will transform how nearly every technology is used. Motion interfaces will provide a more natural way for humans to interact with gadgets and machines. The fruits of this new technology will be greater productivity and more intuitive approaches to problem-solving.

In the following video, business leaders explain how technologies in their industries will be game changers.
