Google-Owned Boston Dynamics Created an Enormous, 330 Pound ‘Karate Kid’ Robot

By: | November 11th, 2014

Boston Dynamics is at it again with insane creations, this time developing a 6’2″, 330 lb. robot named Ian.

The beast of a robot was designed to emulate a famous scene from the movie “The Karate Kid”, which as you can see in the video below, Ian is plenty capable of doing.

Ian was programmed by IHMC in Florida and recently came in second at the US Government’s Robo-Olympics.

You may be asking yourself what the Robo-Olympics entail?

Let’s just say Ian scored second place by being able to walk, carry a fire hose, and not only being able to get into a car but actually drive it according to reports.
