TechCrunch is reporting that Google is looking to buy Skybox Imaging for $1 billion. Skybox Imaging builds satellites and deploys data centers. It also provides high-definition videos of landscapes and detailed imagery, something that could greatly improve Google Maps and Google Earth.

Drones, satellites and balloons, mixed with Google’s internet reach could mean big things for the future of both companies, especially Google.
