The tagline for Sabertron is simple… “How is this not a thing yet?”
And I would have to agree. Who didn’t grow up wanting to fight with real lightsabers, only to find out they didn’t exist?
Sabertron is a Kickstarter project that represents the next best thing, foam swords/lightsabers equipped with a built in scoring system that can differentiate blocks for solid body blows and keep score on LEDs on the sword’s handle.
The project crushed its $50,000 goal by raising $233,852 thanks to 1,318 backers.
