The PodRide is a Four-Wheeled Bicycle-Car Hybrid With a Cloth Exterior

Swedish engineer Mikael Kjellman loves riding bikes, but he also despises harsh Swedish winters.

In an effort to resolve this conundrum, Kjellman developed the PodRide, a four-wheeled bicycle that looks like a car, equipped with electric assist.

The exterior of the PodRide is all cloth and can easily be ripped forward for a single rider to climb into the vehicle.

The PodRide is capable of maxing out at around 15 miles per hour with the motor engaged and features a range of upwards of 37 miles.

Of course, it helps that the cloth enclosure keeps you warm and dry while cruising around in the PodRide.

The PodRide does have its share of cons, of course, most notably the fact that you can’t take a hot date anywhere in such a small vehicle, built for one person.

However, that’s not a deal breaker so if you’re interested in learning more, be sure to check out the Indiegogo campaign for Kjellman’s PodRide.
