What is ChatGPT and How This AI Chatbot Could End Our Dependence on Google?

By: | December 25th, 2022

ChatGPT is the latest offering from OpenAI, the AI start-up founded by Elon Musk. This AI-powered chatbot is capable of creating interaction-style conversations. Launched on November 30, 2022, the chatbot gained over one million users in less than a week.

ChatGPT could be a potential Google slayer

This chatbot is trained on massive pools of data for its human-like response and can answer any query you might have. Many experts think that if ChatGPT is allowed to connect to the internet, it could possibly kill Google searches. People will be able to simply ask the chatbot and get an immediate answer rather than google something and get a variety of ad-supported answers.

ChatGPT is available for free as of now. But while you might access ChatGPT for free, OpenAI is actually spending a lot of money to keep ChatGPT up and running. Although all the major AI tools we have are open-sourced, OpenAI’s ChatGPT is open only by name.

What are ChatGPT’s capabilities?

The ChatGPT utilizes technical advances published in the open scientific literature in the past couple of decades. It can do many other tricks. It can write computer code to a programmer’s specifications, draft business letters or contracts, etc.

While ChatGPT is currently the most capable AI chat boat, it might not be able to give you accurate responses to all the queries since it was trained using models that are created on or before 2021.
