VW’s New 10-Speed Transmission Promises Better Gas Mileage Without Sacrificing Power

By: | May 15th, 2014

Volkswagen recently announced that it’s created a 10-speed dual clutch transmission. Not only do drivers now have more gears to choose from, the new transmission saves gas consumption through the engine optimizing its RPMs.

VW is currently in the process of attempting to improve fuel economy by 20% across the entire Volkswagen group model range and this announcement is certainly a step in the right direction.

Oh by the way, the new 10-speed dual sequential gearbox had no problem with up to 369 pound-feet of torque!
