Los Angeles has a new 2,800 square foot glass observation deck with 360° views of LA and a Skyslide on the 70th floor of the U.S. Bank Tower, the tallest building west of Chicago. The Skyslide and OUE Skyspace were included in a $50 million renovation of the U.S. Bank Tower.

The Skyslide, made of 1-inch thick glass, runs outside the building from the 70th floor to the 69th floor and is 45 feet long and is available for tourists from 9 AM to 11 PM, 365 days a year. To use the Skyslide, riders are helped onto “magic carpets” (mats) by attendants, scoot up to the edge of the incline, and slide down the glass chute for the thrill of their lives. Perhaps never in the history of the world have people been so excited and scared to enter a bank building!

Naturally, views from the new Observation Deck and Skyslide are spectacular, providing visitors a new view of LA. With mounted binoculars, a price tag of about $30 to experience the slide, and spectacular views from the observation deck, the U.S. Bank tower is enjoying a steady stream of visitors!
