Microsoft Kinect as a whole is a device that could never quite live up to what seemed like endless potential and a unique gaming/entertainment experience.

But just because it didn’t quite take off the way many thought by way of Xbox gamers utilizing Kinect doesn’t mean the product has lost its luster for everyone.

While Hololens may well be taking its place when it comes to a similar, yet much more advanced gaming experience, Kinect has found a new niche among artists who are thinking outside of the box in order to use it in innovative ways.

Berlin-based electronic duo Sissi Rada recently used the depth-sensing camera of the Kinect to film a pretty trippy video if I do say so myself.

It makes for some sort of crazy, glitchy, and swirling pixelated footage, which is the best way I can describe it.

All in all, while the Kinect didn’t become the future of gaming, it’s still contributing unique art to the world, and there is something to be said about that.
