Video: Delta Boeing 737 Struck By Lightning on the Taxiway

Recently, someone managed to capture a Delta Boeing 737 on the taxiway being struck by lightning, in what made for riveting footage. Luckily no one was hurt.

The plane’s Faraday Cage was able to successfully redistribute the electrical charges throughout the conducting material externally, ensuring everybody on board was safe from harm.

This is one of those times you just sit and thank engineers and safety regulations for installing lightning-related cautionary equipment on all commercial and military aircraft.

I’m glad everyone came away unscathed because looking at the screenshot kind of makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up.
