Are you terrible at parking? Probably…

Well, lucky for you, the AVERT (Autonomous Vehicle Emergency Recovery Tool) system is a gang of flat robots capable of lifting a car up by its wheels and parking it perfectly.

Developed by European researchers, the system is actually designed for law enforcement to safely move a vehicle that might be carrying explosives or other hazardous materials that have put humans in harm’s way.

The new autonomous parking solution utilizes a main robot that’s able to autonomously map a parking lot or parking garage, then deploy a team of smaller robots that can lift the vehicle about an inch off the ground in order to move it.

It’s still in its research and development stage, but with time, the AVERT system could be extremely beneficial to society as a whole.
