Storm Blows 17,000 Ton Oil Rig Ashore at the Beach of Dalmore in Scotland

This had to be quite a crazy sight to behold.

As a result of stormy weather, a 17,000-ton oil rig broke free of its tug line and was blown ashore at the Beach of Dalmore in Scotland.

Luckily, the rig was empty when it ran aground on the beach, but the coast guard is still making sure people don’t get close to the rig until the issue is resolved.
