Six Flags Great Adventure will debut its 14th scream-inducing mammoth coaster, Total Mayhem, in 2016, at the Jackson Thrill Park.

Total Mayhem will reportedly shoot riders up a 12-story, 90-degree hill before turning them head-over-heels at least six times.

The coaster is being described as a 4-D ride, featuring a total of five 4-D vehicles seating up to 8 riders each in face-off seats and two beyond 90-degree “raven” drops that will provide a free-falling sensation.

“We are thrilled to unveil one of the newest concepts in roller coaster engineering with Total Mayhem,” park president John Fitzgerald said in a statement. “Six Flags Great Adventure’s world-renowned coaster collection will expand into the realm of insanity – or spinsanity – with this new, vertical coaster that delivers gravity-defying somersaults with utter unpredictability. It is the perfect addition to our dynamic line-up of award-winning roller coasters because this ride delivers next generation, cutting-edge thrills.”

Look for Total Mayhem to open officially in spring 2016.
