Panasonic Engineers World’s Largest 4K Video Board

By: | June 3rd, 2014

4K TV is all the rage right now with the likes of Netflix streaming some of your favorite shows and movies in super-high quality. The technology isn’t limited to home entertainment, though, as the world’s largest 4K video board was unveiled recently at the Churchill Downs horse racing course at the Kentucky Derby’s Spring Meet.

The 90-foot tall and 170-foot wide ultra high-definition video board covers over 15,000 square feet and was designed to provide the thousands in attendance a unique view of the racing action no matter where they were on the grounds.

The Panasonic video board took four months to build and was completed in March, just in time for the April racing meet. It’s not the first time that Panasonic has showed off a large video board, unveiling a similarly sized screen at last month’s Texas Motor Speedway.
