Nissan Applied High-Tech Coating Called Starpath to Create Glow-In-The-Dark Leaf

By: | February 16th, 2015

Nissan collaborated with the inventor of a high-tech coating called Starpath in order to make a one-of-a-kind, glow-in-the-dark Nissan Leaf.

The Leaf features 10 hours of glow time thanks to Starpath, and it will supposedly last for approximately 25 years.

Unfortunately, this bright, bluish-green vehicle was simply a fun project and not something the public will ever have a chance to purchase, at least for now.

From the pictures and video, it does appear that the glowing vehicle is much easier to see than normal cars, especially at night, so maybe this type of coating application will be explored for added safety in vehicles in the near future.
