Nike Collaborates With Zeiss to Create $1,200 Sun Shades Called The Wing

By: | August 11th, 2016

As the Olympics approached, Nike worked with Zeiss to create a brand new pair of sunglasses, which they actually refer to as “sun shades.”

The new sun shades are called The Wing and wrap around an athlete’s head so they don’t have to worry about the shades accidentally falling off during competition.

Impressively, The Wing weighs merely 26 grams and is designed to span past the user’s temples so it feels like it is one with your head and not even on your face thanks to the lightweight frame.

Maybe Nike is hurting after cancelling some of their golf line because I don’t know who in the world is going to pay $1,200 for a pair of sun shades.

Beyond sponsors, I guess some crazy Crossfit person might buy a pair. We shall see…
