KUKA Robotics Introduces Cold-Weather Palletizing Robot Series

By: | November 12th, 2014

KUKA Robotics is debuting the company’s KR QUANTEC PA arctic Series of palletizing robots at Pack Expo 2014, capable of enduring temperatures as low as -30°C.

Available in three payloads (120 kg, 180 kg, and 240 kg) and built for frigid lifting, the artic Series is perfect for the frozen food, refrigerated, and beverage markets.

The KR QUANTEC PA arctic does not require a protective suit and is essentially immune to cold temperatures, allowing the robot to work extremely fast, even in deep-freeze environments.

Expect this robot to become a staple in the food industry as it can work tirelessly with no temperature fluctuations and ensures there will be no formation of ice on the frozen goods.
