Owing to the rapid spread of the coronavirus, demands for the things that people consider will help protect them from being exposed to the virus is increasing. Face masks, hand sanitizer, disinfectant spray and Clorox wipes are just flying off store shelves.

For avoiding this virus, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is recommending people to keep hands clean. One of the best way is to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water, then avoid touching your face.
But if you don’t have access to soap and water, the next best thing is a hand sanitizer. If you are not getting it, don’t lose heart, as you can make your own.
For preparing it you just need 2/3-cup rubbing alcohol and 1/3-cup aloe vera gel.
Basic ingredient is alcohol, either isopropyl (rubbing) or ethyl (used in beer, wine, and spirits). Solution must have at least 60 percent alcohol.
According to Miryam Wahrman, a biology professor at William Paterson University, “If you drop below 60 percent, the effectiveness drops very dramatically,”
For effectively sanitizing your hand you should rub the liquid into your hands and let them air dry. Spraying few drops into your hands and then wiping your hands won’t work.
