This Kid Just Hit the Slopes on a 3D-Printed Jet-Powered Snowboard He Built Himself!

By: | April 10th, 2015

Jude Gomilla utilized an electric ducted fan with 22lbs of thrust, a 3D-printed mount, and some Gorilla Glue to put together a snowboard.

From there, he installed an electric speed controller and a rechargeable battery, and boom, he had built a 3D-printed, jet-powered snowboard.

The only thing left to do was test it, which can be seen in the videos below.

Gomilla states that while his 4000mAh battery runs out of juice in only four minutes at full throttle, the board is more than capable of hitting speed upwards of 15 mph.
