Hear the Frightening Scream of Atoms Inside a Fusion Reactor

By: | November 2nd, 2015

Scientists across the world are carrying out research for energy generation through nuclear fusion. If these scientists are successful in harnessing that energy, they would be able to mark a revolutionary moment for humanity.

It would mean that we will have a limitless source of energy that is clean, safe, and cheap. A fusion power station would consume just two pounds of fuel to provide the same amount of energy produced by around 11 thousand tons of fossil fuel.

Using the same physics that light up the sun, fusion reactors promise to yield a sustainable source of energy for humans. Until now, this is not working as it should in theory. Some scientists even think that fusion power is a distant pipe dream.

But for now, it would be interesting to hear the kind of noise atoms make just before they are about to fuse.

They sound like a child screaming at the top of their lungs.

Hear the high-pitched sound in the video below that will leave you flabbergasted.

It is advisable to turn down your speakers’ volume a bit before playing this video!
