Portuguese designer Manuel Chichorro has developed an innovative and rather practical device for spearfishermen as part of his Master’s program in product design at the University of ECAL, Switzerland.

Chichorro’s multipurpose floatbag was designed for spearfishermen, specifically for amateurs, to not only help carry fishing material and other belongings to and from the water but more importantly to promote safety by acting as a buoy.

Not only is it aimed at a niche community, the product, which is comprised of thermoplastic polyurethane and nylon fabric, is also affordable.

And of course, the interior pockets of the floatbag are waterproof, so after you get done fishing, you can quickly reach in the bag to check your phone for missed calls, emails, or messages.
