Dutch Porsche Enthusiast Built a Working, 12,000 RPM, 1:3 Scale Porsche Flat-Six Engine!

What do you get when you mix one man’s love for crafting precision instruments with his passion for all things related to Porsche?

Simple. You get a beautiful 1:3 scale Porsche flat-six engine that actually fires up and runs!

Marcel van Vliet, a Dutch YouTuber, claims the engine revs to 12,000 rpm and also pumps out eight horsepower.

There are six carburetors and a mechanical fuel pump to feed the action, according to Sweden’s Auto Motor and Sport.

All it took was factory drawings, determination, and good old fashion hard work by hand for a few years in order to build this puppy.

When I get some free time, I might just embark on a similar project myself! But, I’ll probably just stick to reporting about other people’s awesome creations…
