Tests show that bamboo-derived plastics can achieve tensile strengths up to 110 MPa and flexural strengths of 92 MPa, making them robust enough for everyday use. The material’s toughness comes from enhanced hydrogen bonding, giving it rigidity without brittleness.
Heat Resistance and Stability
Bamboo-based plastics also maintain their structure under high temperatures. Studies reveal that they remain stable up to 250°C, making them suitable for applications that require heat resistance, such as automotive parts and electronic components. Their mechanical properties remain reliable over a wide temperature range, ensuring safety and performance in demanding environments.
Rapid Biodegradability
One of the biggest advantages of bamboo plastics is their environmental friendliness.
