The Armrest Re-Design We’ve All Been Waiting For…

By: | July 3rd, 2014

Well, maybe we all haven’t been waiting for this but it could definitely make life on a airplane easier for people constantly battling over who gets to rest their arms on the armrests.

The Paperclip Armrest, from James Lee and Paperclip Design, makes it simple for two passengers to share ample armrest space.

It is essentially a double decker armrest design. One person takes the top and one person takes the bottom.

Everybody’s happy!

According to Paperclip Design,”our arms are flexible and can easily adapt to different heights.”

While it would seem as though the new design is perfect for airplanes, it is actually tough to break into the aviation industry so the armrests could be more suited for movie theaters, waiting areas and trains.
