Airbus and Boeing Following Requests From Emirates by Improving Their Respective Aircraft

By: | March 14th, 2015

Airbus and Boeing have made improvements to their respective aircraft, the A350 and 787, according to the CEO of Emirates, Tim Clark.

The improvements from both Airbus and Boeing came after the Dubai-based airline company requested reduced weight, interior improvements, and increased range for the planes, among other things.

Emirates was forced to cancel an order for 70 A350 aircraft last year because the aircraft did not meet its requirements, but this year Emirates is looking to potentially purchase 50 to 70 twin-aisle 787 or A350 aircraft should Boeing and Airbus meet the proper specifications outlined above.
