Is the Ukraine’s Floating Castle Real or Fake?

By: | February 3rd, 2014

Constructing a building involves serious time and requires both money and man-power. If a building has a special and unique concept and design, then it also needs a great amount of calculation, experience and innovation. Floating Castle is one such unusual and creative building.

Floating Castle is an amazing piece of architecture. Wonderful and seemingly gravity defying, the farm building lures many tourists to the site, which is located in an abandoned granary near Krasnosilka in Ukraine. There is no information about the architect of this unusual building, though.

Floating Castle lives up to its name, appearing to float in the air. It’s supported by a single cantilever. It is claimed to be an old bunker for the overload of mineral fertilizers. Some call it an optical illusion or a trick of Photoshop but no one knows much about this floating barn.

This levitating farmhouse may or may not still be standing today. Real or fake, this dramatic building is certainly outstanding and very mysterious.
