2017 is going to be a weird one based on some of the unique designs, gizmos, and gadgets that have already cropped up.

And I’m here for it!

Product designer Yang Zhao has introduced ‘The Sharkman,’ which is being labeled as hybrid wearable furniture built for a variety of situations while providing comfort and flexibility.

The Sharkman is the latest design that explores the notion of soft furniture, which could prove to act as portable and personal areas in the future.

Perhaps the most practical application of The Sharkman is depicted in a few of the images below where the user molds the furniture around himself to work on his laptop.

This could prove to be a great idea when it comes to attempting to study, work, or simply browse the internet while working outside and combating the glare from the sun.

The design represents a private space, capable of benefiting the user whether they are laying down, sitting, or standing, and even garnered the Certificate of Excellence from the Mayor of London’s International Student Innovation 2016 Award.
