Cycling is not only the cool and healthy way of getting around, but it is also eco-friendly. There are countless reasons why it is an excellent alternative to driving.

The bicycle is the most environmentally friendly and innovative mode of transport. In many European countries, the bicycle is the most common way of urban transport.

With a lot of bike-friendly cities in the world, Poland has unveiled a dazzling, glow-in-the-dark bicycle path that glows bright blue at night! This path is located near Lidzbark Warminski in the Mazury region.

Studio Roosegaarde’s Starry Night bike lane was inspired TPA Instytut Badań Technicznych Sp. z o.o to create this amazing glowing bike path to help nighttime cyclists.

The path is illuminated by luminophores, a synthetic material that emits light after being charged by the sun.

‘The Next Nature Network,’ a nature organization that explores our changing relation with nature, reported that the luminophores can emit variety of colors, but the designers chose blue as they thought it would best suited to the surrounding landscape

As per Igor Ruttmar from TPA,”The material we used for the track gives light for over ten hours. That means the road can radiate throughout the whole night and reaccumulate light the following day.”
