Origami-Inspired Tube Squeezes Out Every Last Ounce of Toothpaste

By: | April 8th, 2014

Are you tired of having to roll up your tube of toothpaste all the time to get a little bit to come out?

Nicole Pannuzzo, a student at Arizona State University, set out to make our lives a little bit easier by redesigning Colgate’s traditional packaging.

Pannuzzo’s design is shaped like a helix and shrinks like an accordion as you use it.  It becomes completely flat when the toothpaste is all gone.

Luckily for her, Colgate has been thinking about redesigning its packaging for years now and has reached out to her about her idea.

Depending on how the talks go, the toothpaste aisle may be undergoing a complete overhaul in the near future.
