There are a select few people in the world working at NASA’s Landing and Impact Research Facility who have arguably one of the best jobs on the planet.

They get to crash things on purpose in order to study how a myriad of craft react to all different types of crash scenarios involving water, concrete, and hitting barriers.

NASA recently released the video below encompassing a montage of crashes from NASA’s Langley Research Center in Virginia.

The center’s 240-foot metal gantry has hoisted up many a vehicle and aircraft in its day before dropping them back down on the end of a pendulum.

Now, we get to see a whole series of crashes in a beautifully put together video.
