London’s New Public Transport to Encompass a 15 MPH Moving Sidewalk?

Forget subways and stationary sidewalks…

With technology progressing at a rapid pace, outlandish designs for London’ new public transport include a 15 mph moving sidewalk.

Literally, a moving sidewalk similar to what you see in airports, which will circle 17 miles under London.

The firm behind the idea, NBBJ, sees replacing the city’s Circle Line with 15 mph superhighways in the middle and two slower lanes on the outside as a viable option.

I personally like the idea but think the execution of something like this is still years away.

We shall see.
