Kodiak Power Bank: A Thick Skinned, Rugged, Powerful Mobile Charger

By: | December 10th, 2014

One problem with high-tech devices is their inability to maintain a charge over long periods of time, meaning, cell phones, laptops and other devices run out of power just when you’re “furthest from society” and beginning to have fun.

Named After The Kodiak Bear, The Device Is Rugged & Thick Skinned

A new device by Outdoor Technology called the Kodiak 3,600 Power Bank is water resistant, shock proof, portable and charges any electronic device with a USB connection using its 6,000 milliamp (mA) battery. The device has a 2.1 Amp output and weighs just 9.4 ounces (0.6lbs) for easy transport.

Kodiak’s rugged design means the device can be used wherever people travel and is capable of enduring submersion in water, sandy beaches, white water rafting, etc.

Kodiak Power Bank Can Handle Any Scenario You Throw At It

Most portable battery chargers these days cannot charge a tablet. But 6,000 mA can charge tablets, phones, POV cameras, e- readers, wireless headphones, GPS devices and rechargeable electric toys.

The device has been fitted with a thick skin made of high impact silicon to protect it from the elements. A “Hunger Meter” shows how much electricity is left in the device. The device can:

  • charge an Apple iPhone four times without meeting a recharge
  • charge a Samsung Galaxy three times
  • charge a GoPro device six times

Here are the specs:
