Is it a caravan? Is it a boat? It’s both!

Lakeside camping is a relaxing and enjoyable experience but towing travel trailer and boat could prove to be challenging for most of us.

To help the campers, A Germany-based Caravanboat has combined a camper and houseboat in one. The incredible two-in-one is called the Caravanboat Departure One.

Half-trailer, half-houseboat, ‘Departure One’ has a seawater resistant 30mm aluminum hull. The 30-foot long camper sits on the trailer. The massive 9 meter long trailer-boat (9m x 3.5m) is equipped with a toilet, shower, A/C, air heating, washbasin, a closet, four beds, corner couch, and a large panoramic window. The kitchen has a sink, microwave, fridge, stovetop, and storage for cooking utensils.

The inside offers four sleeping places in two comfortable beds with a fairly spacious living room.

The floating caravan is self-sufficient for a crew of up to four to manage without electricity or water supply for up to two days.

‘Departure One’ is available in Europe at a starting price of 58, 000 Euro with few color options to chose from. Sadly the camper is not available in the US at present.
