Ford Created an Incredible Foosball Table, Featuring Real Grass and Its Own Ecosystem

By: | April 20th, 2015

Ford designers must have had some free time recently because they created a beautiful, fully functioning foosball table, featuring real living grass that grows inside the table’s see-through, closed ecosystem.

Created by Ford’s global design studios for the Salone Del Mobile show in Milano, Italy, the goal of the company is to show how they can push the boundaries in all they do, even something as simple as a foosball table.

At the moment, the prototype features artificial turf, versus real grass, but that’s only because it has to be taken to the show in Italy.

If Ford takes the table to market in the future, it will be interesting to see how the grass affects gameplay as it should be more reflective of real soccer.

At the moment, Ford has no plans on commercializing the product but with how sleek it looks, I wish they would reconsider.

For an affordable price, I’d ante up the money to put this thing in my apartment!
