The Flatev is my dream machine as it is basically a Keurig but instead of brewing hot coffee, it pops out fresh tortillas.
Similar to coffee pods, the crazy device actually uses tortilla pods to make authentic tortillas.
The Flatev kickstarter campaign just launched and came about as a result of its co-founder and CEO, Carlos Ruiz, missing real tortillas while living in Europe and the US, in addition to loathing the tedious process of having to make them himself.
As a result, Ruiz invented the Flatev, which makes one tortilla per pod.
I love fajitas, quesadillas, tacos, burritos, you name it… So obviously, I’m extremely pro-tortillas.
At the moment, the early bird price for purchasing a Flatev is $199, which will become $437 when the device is mass released.
Pods are expected to cost approximately 79 cents each.
