Are you tired of pesky temperature fluctuations and having to dress in layers? Pack your bags for Dubai. United Arab Emirates’ ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum recently announced that Dubai is building a temperature-controlled “city” that will encompass 48 million total square feet.

The “city” will be home to an 8 million-square-foot shopping complex called the “Mall of the World,” theaters, a theme park, upwards of 100 hotels and other facilities all contributing to the temperature-controlled city.

Developer Dubai Holding claim there will also be an incredible 4.35 miles (7km) of covered walkways.

The extravagant temperature-controlled city will provide fun, leisurely activities while also allowing people to escape the intense heat of Dubai’s harsh desert climate.
