Cooking Thermite in the Kitchen Will Result in a Hole in Your Stove

Add it to the list of things I’ve never done and probably will never do…

Cooking thermite on a stovetop. After all, it just sounds like a bad idea.

As you would guess, the experiment results in thermite burning right through the saucepan, making a hole through the stove top and fire dripping right into the oven.

Many, many flames ensue.

Shout out to the people at Crash Zone for performing an experiment I definitely would not recommend trying at home.
