Chinese Construction Company, Winsun, Just 3D-Printed a 5-Story Apartment & 3-Story Mansion

Winsun, the Chinese Construction Company responsible for 3D-printing 10 one-story homes in one day last year, has accomplished another impressive feat.

The company recently 3D-printed a five-story apartment and three-story mansion, and while both are merely proofs of concept, it shows just how far 3D-printing has come.

Located in Suzhou Industrial Park, both buildings were constructed with a unique type of pre-mixed concrete created from “construction waste” and printed layer by layer, says Chinese news site Caixin.

Winsun called upon a 3D printer measuring 500 feet long, 33 feet wide, and 21 feet tall to print each individual part of the mansion, which spans 11,840 square feet.
