Have Your Cake and Eat It Too with 60-Second Microwavable “Spray Cake” Batter

By: | August 7th, 2014

Harvard students John McCallum and Brooke Nowakowski have invented “Spray Cake”, an idea many cake lovers probably can’t believe hasn’t been invented yet til now!

Essentially, McCallum and Nowakowski took the same ingredients from traditional cake box mix and put all the tastiness in a spray can, which literally oozes out microwavable cake batter.

Incredibly, the new spray-able cake batter takes merely 60 seconds to turn into a delicious cake in the microwave, significantly less time than how we are used to baking cakes.

The two students have gotten a patent and seller for their idea and are now seeking out a manufacturer in order to grow their business.

McCallum says simply, “I took the class as a fun way to get a gen ed requirement, and now it’s a business.”
