Last year, one out of every 78 new jobs created in the U.S. was related to the solar industry. There were more than 31,000 new solar-related jobs, bringing the total to almost 174,000.

As per a report published by the Solar Foundation, solar jobs will continue to grow in 2015. This includes companies that are expected to hire an additional 36,000 solar workers.

The U.S. Solar Power Industry Installed 7,200 Megawatts of Additional Power Last Year

Solar is still a relatively small part of the U.S. energy supply. But the tremendous growth in the solar industry shows that the demand for clean, renewable power is growing.
