By: | September 12th, 2014

Boeing’s new sleek looking, all-black 787-9 Dreamliner has been delivered to Air New Zealand with about 1,000 Boeing employees and Air New Zealand executives on hand for the debut.

The plane is lighter than its predecessor, the 787-8, meaning it can operate on 20% less fuel, and it also is 20 feet longer and can hold 40 more passengers than the 787-8.

Moreover, Boeing’s new plane features a range of 8,000 to 8,500 nautical miles and features dimmable windows and in-cabin LED lighting.

Not only does the all-black 787-9 look the part, it is certainly capable of playing the part!
