Bizarre Contraption Gives You Privacy While Flying, Even in Coach

If you’re tired of having meaningless conversations with strangers and even having to look at other people on your flight, you’ll be glad to know a new invention will turn that cramped seat in coach into your own private oasis. The B-Tourist could become your best travel accessory.

Idan Noyberg and Gal Bulka submitted their bizarre contraption to the DesignBoom site looking to increase privacy on commercial flights. The B-Tourist is essentially a giant elastic strap that wraps around the headrests of your seat and the one in front of you allowing you to eat, sleep, read, or watch movies in private.

Others around you may stare as you sit inside your elastic band. But it’s okay. You won’t be able to see them.
