This Billboard Produces More Clean Air Than 1,200 Trees Combined

UTEC, an engineering college in Lima, is doing all it can to keep the environment clean while the campus is being completely rebuilt.

Located in Peru, a country with a widespread pollution problem, UTEC developed a billboard that makes the air cleaner in the midst of all the construction going on.

How it works:

By trapping pollutants in a water filter through thermodynamic processes, the billboard allows only clean air to escape.

Incredibly, the billboard positively effects people within a five-block radius and produces more clean air than 1,200 trees combined!

UTEC collaborated with the advertising agency FCB Mayo for the billboard project, which is actually not the first time the two companies have created a unique billboard to help the community.
