Apple Just Invested $55 Million Into a 17.5 Megawatt Solar Farm In North Carolina

The Hickory Record reports that Apple has invested $55 million into a 17.5 megawatt, 100-acre solar farm in North Carolina.

This marks the latest push by Apple to become more of a green company and solidifies the company’s stance on fighting climate change.

Apple plans to eventually run all of its data and retail centers by way of renewable resources and its new headquarters will run solely off of green energy.
