America’s 9-Millionth Patent Uses Rainwater to Replenish Windshield-Wiper Fluid

Jupiter, Florida’s Matthew Carroll was officially granted America’s 9-millionth patent this week, encompassing a method he developed that uses rainwater to replenish windshield-wiper fluid.

For the past three years, Carroll has been working his way towards this patent, first filing for it on March 12th, 2012, through his company WiperFill LLC.

Finally, the patent was granted on April 7th, representing the 9,000,000th patent granted since the US Patent Office began its current numbering system way back in 1836.
