For a vacation that’s out of this world, appropriately-named World View might be able to help you out. As the availability of private expedition to space becomes more of a reality, these engineers have developed a helium balloon maneuvered vessel that will take you into the stratosphere.
The potential of space tourism is rather exciting and World View, a subsidiary of Paragon Space Development Corporation from Arizona, recently landed approval from the US Federal Aviation Administration to conduct its flights. But it won’t be cheap with a ticket priced at $75,000.
World View is calling it a “truly transformative human experience,” as the vessel will orbit the edge of space. Passengers will get a view of earth like no other.
Two pilots will man the capsule with up to six passengers. Takeoff will launch from Spaceport America, New Mexico.
Test flights are due to begin soon. However, it will be at least three years before customers can board the expeditions.
