2001 Chevy Duramax Blows Up Driveline on Dyno Right Before Your Eyes

By: | November 11th, 2014

In an attempt to make his 2001 Chevrolet Silverado as fast as possible, Dmitri Millard seemed to forget to account for potential issues due to increased horsepower and torque.

In fact, utilizing a Chevy Duramax to tear things up on dragstrips is not a bad idea, but investing in a beast of a driveshaft to handle more power is highly recommended.

The video description states Millard had already achieved 175 mph pulls in testing, in addition to producing more than 1,300 horsepower.

However, the driveshaft had obviously handled too much stress and as you can see in the video, the driveshaft decides it has had enough.

Luckily, no one was injured but make sure you are careful when it comes to striving for huge power figures from your vehicles!
