Transporting your kayak just got a lot easier thanks to the new foldable, 26-pound Oru Kayak.

The 12-foot-long kayak can fold up into a 33 x 29-inch carrying case along with a collapsible paddle and life jacket, something founder Anton Willis designed after experiencing issues with his normal kayak not fitting in his apartment.

Oru Kayak raised $443,806 on Kickstarter to help Willis send his idea into production, before being a contestant onĀ Shark Tank. He accepted a $500,00 offer from shark Robert Herjavec and gave up 25% equity in his kayak company.

Made up of of one big sheet of corrugated plastic, Oru Kayak can be folded an estimated 20,000 times before the skin starts to show any signs of wear.

Oru Kayak costs $1,195 on its own with advanced costing a little bit more depending on the equipment.
